Description

These two identical ceramic tiles were brought to Willmar by Belgium delegates from Frameries, Belgium, a sister city of Willmar. They were given to the Willmar Fests and then donated to the Kandiyohi County Historical Society.  The tiles are in the shape of a shield and diagonally divided by color: yellow on the top half and black on the lower half.  A brown squirrel with a nut is painted in the middle. Printed at the top: Ascension Frameries 1977.  This refers to a Catholic church located in Frameries, Belgium.

o10032.2    As described above:  Imprinted on the back- Pol Evrant Frameries and a Makers Mark.
