Description

This bubble sextant was used by bomber and transport crews to fix their postion.

1A- the wooden box carrying case has a metal carrying handle and clasps. A small black plaque on the top has this information: Type A-10A   AF43  2368,Order No. W33-038 cc100 Serial No. 27473,Mfg. ASSEM DWG No.-C, Spec. No. F245 ANSCO a Division of General Aniline and Film Corp. Binghampton N.Y. Also stenciled on the top is the number 52. The box is divided into comparts for the sextant and componants.

1B- the sextant is of bleck crackle lacqured alloy with a rubber ewye piece. The black plaque on it has the ssame info as the plaque on the box.

1C- a small plck lense

1D- a silver tube to hold batteries

 17 paper disks are also in thebox
