Description

A Wade and Butcher straight razor with hollow ground blade and black Bakelite piece with inlay inside the bottom of the handle. 

Wade and Butcher, officially known as W.&S. Butcher was established in the early 19th century between Robert Wade and brothers William and Samuel Putcher and they would start working on razors and other cutlery in 1818. By the 1820’s the specialized in straight razors. The company would make cutlery until it closed its doors in 1959.
