A small box meant for 5 Marlin Double-Edge High Speed Blades with only three inside. The back of the box advertises their shaving cream.
The Marlin Firearms company was founded in 1872 by John Marlin and became well-known for their lever-action repeating rifles along with pump-action shot guns, and single-shot rifles. They got into the blade business around 1933-34 and it was a venture of the owner of Marlin Firearms at the time (Frank Kenna) who started with his own money but later sold the rights to the blade business to his gun company and got paid a commission on the number of blades sold.
