Description

"This plaited wicker basket, used for food, is made only on the third mesa of the Hopis in Arizona. It is made from rabbit brush, and the design, typical and symbolic for these Hopis, is done in green, rust, gold, white and black. The basket has only very slightly raised sides, so it resembles a plate more than a basket."
