Description

"This plaited wicker basket, used for food, is made only on the third mesa of the Hopis in Arizona. It is made from rabbit brush, and the design, typical and symbolic for these Hopis, is done in green, dark gold, black and yellow. The basket has only slightly raised sides, so it resembles a plate more than a basket."
