Description

A green bra and belt set used for belly dancing. Both pieces have an aqua lame fabric substructure embellished with dark green and silver beads and ribbons. The belt has a full fringe of green and silver bead strings. The bra has a matching dark green and silver fringe from the bottom of the cups. This costume was worn by Deb Shepard, a former Hennepin History Museum board member until 2016. She donated this piece, along with other belly dancing costumes and accessories, after a belly dancing performance at HHM in the early 2000s.
