Description

A red and gold bra and belt set used for belly dancing. Both pieces have a gold lame substructure embellished with red beads and gold chains. The belt has a gold beaded fringe at the center front. The bra has red bead fringe at the center bottom front of the cup. This costume was worn by Deb Shepard, a former Hennepin History Museum board member until 2016. She donated this piece, along with the other belly dancing costumes and accessories, after a belly dancing performance at HHM in the 1980s.
