The company initially focused on producing seeding and fertilizer spreaders and had its headquarters in Urbana, Indiana (1868-1977) and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (1977-1980). In 1977, the company was acquired by the Jackson Manufacturing Company, which in turn was purchased by Allegheny Ludlum Industries, Inc. in December 1980. The product line included cyclone seeders, which were sold for a few years before being dropped. The company's legacy continues through its historical significance in the agricultural industry and the development of innovative seeding technology.
