Description

"This flat bowl basket is 18 inches in diameter and is made of three shades of yucca: natural tan, green and gold. The brown used in the outline of the design is bear grass. This is typical Papago design. "

There are 2.5 coils and 10 stitches per inch. This basket would be used for winnowing, to catch ground flour as it comes off the grinding stone, and to hold foods such as meat, fruit, berries, and seeds for preparation.
