Ives, Gideon S. B/W photo of Gideon S. Ives. Nicollet County marriage records state that Gideon Ives married Mary Swift, a daughter of Governor Henry Swift, on September 24, 1878.. He was an attorney in St. Peter for many years, a State Senator from Nicollet County, and Lt. Governor of Minnesota in 1891.
