Description

Louis P. Bushard. The label on the back of the photo appears to say "L. P. Buchord." Nicollet County marriage records indicate that Louis P. Bushard married Theresa Bastian. It is not known which spelling of this man's surname is correct. The 1910 West Newton Township census lists Louis Bushard (age 62, born in New York) as a farmer. His wife, Theresia (age 53, born in New York) is also listed, along with their children. The 1913 Nicollet County Atlas lists Louis P. Bushard in section 30 of West Newton Township. The assumption being made here is that the spelling should be "Bushard," not "Buchord" for the surname of the person in this photo.
