Dodd and Daniels wedding. B/W photo of the wedding of John Dodd to Emma Daniels. Nicollet County marriage records state that John V. Dodd married Emma Daniels on August 5, 1889. On a duplicate of this photo, E4170, the six women have been numbered from left to right on the photo. The men are numbered "7" and "8." A note on the back of the photo reads as follows: 1 - Lucy Dodd Lamberton, 2 - Molly Woods Williams, 3 - Emma Daniels Dodd, 4 - Ella Donahower Kilbourne, 5 - Kate Jones, 6 - Daisy Kennedy, 7 - John Dodd, 8 - Willis Dodd?" Later notations on the back of the photo suggest that number "1" may be Cora Daniels (Thirlwall). Also, the name "Dr. Kilborn" [Arthur F. Kilbourne] for number "8" was crossed out and replaced by that of Willis Dodd.

E1275 has names on both the front and the back for seven of the eight people. The front label of E1275 states that Mollie Woods is the second woman from the left, John Dodd is the first man from the left, Willis Dodd is the second man from the left, Kate Jones is the second woman from the right (standing), Daisy Kennedy is the woman at the far right, Emma Daniels is first seated woman from the left, and Ella Donahower (Kilbourne) is the second seated woman from the left. This matches the label on E4170, if Willis Dodd is accepted as being the second man from the left. The only problem remaining is to determine the correct name of the woman on the far left. Also note that Arthur Kilbourne married Ella Donhower in Nicollet County on October 9, 1888. This is to note that Ella's new surname was spelled incorrectly on the photo label.
