Description

Rakeover Club. B/W photo of the women members of the Rakeover Club at the Sackett home on Minnesota Avenue in St. Peter in 1888. The information that follows is from notes on the back of the photo. Alice Snyder 6 top row. Eibel Cotton. Jennifer Cotton. Louie Cotton. Minnie Lange [Blanding] 8 top. Minnie Ludcke [Williams], left railing. Minnie Pearce 7 top. Meta Sackett center top step. Lizzie Brandt below her right. Mattie Kayser [Meta Kayser Wood] 5 top. Alma Schumacher [Laumann] 9 top. Maude Schumacher 3 top. Minnie Pell 1 top. Nellie La Bonte [Brady] 2 top. Emma Koenig. "Cotton" may be "Colton" or some other spelling of the surname. "Eibel" is a guess as well. So is "Louie." Census and marriage records have not been helpful for the questionable names.
