Block, Julius. B/W photo of Julius Block. The 1900 St. Peter census lists Julius Block and his wife, Sarah, along with their sons, Robert and Budd. Julius was listed as the Sheriff in the 1900 census. Julius was born March 30, 1860 at Galion, Ohio, according to his obituary in the September 29, 1915 issue of the St. Peter Tribune. He died in Duluth on September 26, 1915. He had served as the chief of police in St. Peter and as the state treasurer of Minnesota. He was also a trustee for the State Hospitals. "Sheriff Block" has been written on the back of the photo.
