Dear CBI Veteran,
I have reviewed your application for the China War Memorial Medal and am very pleased to inform you that you appear fully qualified. In view of the information you provided, I submitted your name to the Embassy of the Government of the Republic of China in Washington, D.C. and obtained the medal for you.
It is the sincere desire of the CBIVA, who is sponsoring this program for its members as well as for other applicants, that these awards be formally presented with a bit of ceremony at either a National or local Basha function. In your case, there is an existing Basha near you and I am forwarding your medal to the basha Commander who will be contacting you in the near future.
Please accept my heartiest congratulations and I look forward to meeting you in the future.
Very truly yours,
Marvin A. Walker, COL USA RET
Jr. Vice Cmdr S.E. CBIVA
