Postcard showing the aftermath of a train wreck.

Railroad wreck near New Ulm, Minn, April 20, 1911.
Freight train from Winthrop to New Ulm derailed, occurring in the middle of the cut in Fritsche's ravine, about 2 1/2 miles north of New Ulm on the M. & St. L. road. Engineer and fireman hurt in wreck when the engine and tenter turned a complete somersault, landing in the ditch alongside the track. Cause unknown.
