Slide 17 First Hospital in County, StarbuckDr. C. R. Christenson came to Starbuck in 1896, and bought the practice and equipment from Dr. O. E. Linjer. Dr Christenson established a private hospital in 1898 on the corner of Fifth and Wollan streets, thus providing the town (and county) with its first private hospital, small but well equipped.
