Olive Peterson, Clerk of the District Court, is seated next to him. The members of the Board of Commissioners are seated at the left. They are (in uncertain order): Joseph Warta, Archie Webster, John Koppen, Emil Hulke, Harold Overn (the county auditor, who was an ex officio member as the board's secretary), and Gilbert Ewald. Also shown are members of the St. Peter High School class of Signe Chilstrom. Among them are the following: George Dranttel, Mary Cassett, Robert Seitzer, Edward Schaus, Mary Montague, Nancy Schultz, Alan Gessner, Beth Trimbo, Ronald Johnson, Diana Jacobson, Craig Martens, Donald Canfield, Sydney Smart, and Virginia Dahl. Alfred Mortenson, the Veterans Officer, is standing in the doorway at left, behind court reporter Chester Nelson. Mortenson arranged the visit by the students in conjunction with the V. F. W. Judge George Erickson presides. He can be seen in a black robe among the students.
