Slide 36 The Barsness Family CemeteryThe three brothers Barsness brothers came to Pope County in 1867 and took homesteads on different sides of Lake Ben. This cemetery was on the farm of Ole N. Barsness, and was the site selected by the brothers for the burial of their dead. It dates back to 1867. Mrs. Ole N. Barsness was the first to be buried there in 1897. Many of Barsness family are buried there.
