Description
"A 7 1/2 inch in diameter, flexible hat, made out of cedar root with black maiden-hair fern stripe trim. Notice especially the trim on the crown of the hat. If this were a regular Klamath basket, there would be no trim in this part, which would be, of course, the bottom of the basket. The Klamath Indians wore this kind of hat while in the woods, so that branches and brush would not scratch their heads."

There are 14 rows of 10 stitches per inch.
