Description

Minnesota National Guard. B/W stereo photo of soldiers of the Minnesota National Guard in front of their tent. It is not known where or when this photo was taken, or the company in which these soldiers served. Because the photo belonged to Herman Sporing, who served in Company I, which was based in St. Peter, it is assumed that the soldiers in this photo are from Minnesota's Second Infantry Regiment, of which Company I was a part. Although photographer Tenney was based in Winona, he travelled to many other locations to take photos, which means that this photo may not have been taken in Winona.
