Description

District 6 School Students. B/W 1951 photo of District 6 school students in New Sweden Township. Front row, left to right: Curtis Wolle, Roger Torgerson, Charles Johnson, Leland Jonason, Karen Sjostrom, and Kay Sjostrom. Middle row, left to right: Willis Renneke, Sandra Wolfe, Catherine Johnson, Dale Wolle, Winston Lacey, Emerson Lacey, Lacey Peterson, and Eunice Bjorklund. Back row, left to right: Lyle Zimmerman, Garfield Eckberg, Lowell Sjostrom, Mrs. Osborne (the teacher), Harold Bjorklund (in front of Mrs. Osborne), Marlys Peterson, and Emilie Johnson. Note: this description was taken from the original description of this photo in PastPerfect. Some of these names do not appear on the school census lists for District 6 for the years 1950, 1951, and 1952. Also note the name "Lacey Peterson," that follows Winston Lacey and Emerson Lacey. It appears that there have been errors made in the identifications of several students.
