Jarraff Industries. Color photo of Jarraff Industries, which has its office at 1730 Gault Street in St. Peter. They manufacture all-terrain vehicles with telescoping tree trimming saws that extend to 75 feet. The company also has operations in Kannapolis, NC; Pearl, MS; and Kent, OH. As of 2009, this building was used primarily for painting of parts, while fabrication of parts was done at the Geo-Boy building shown in photo ED1962 and in the new facility constructed in 2007 shown in photo ED2458.
The company was founded in the late 1970s by George Boyum. His daughter, Heidi Boyum, became CEO in 1999. A brother, Lee Boyum, started Geo-Boy, Inc. in 1995 (located across the street) which makes all-terrain brush cutters (from an article in the Mankato Free Press, Dec. 15, 2008). Heidi bought out her brother sometime prior to 2009.
In 2007, a new office building, see ED2459, and a warehouse was constructed on the east side of Gault Street. Photos of the warehouse under construction in November of 2006 are ED2458a and ED2458b. Photos taken after completion of the construction in 2007 are ED2458 and ED2459.
