2010 Flood. Color photo of the flooded Highway 169 in St. Peter. This view of the recently closed highway was taken on September 26, 2010 from a parking lot on the southwest corner of the intersection of Highways 169 and 22 (also known as Dodd Avenue). The building on the right housed Four Seasons Interiors and Design at 1701 Old Minnesota Avenue. The 2010 flood was caused by heavy rainfall south of Mankato on September 23rd. Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in the Mapleton and Amboy areas, but less than four inches fell in Mankato and St. Peter area. The river crested in St. Peter on September 28, 2010.
