2010 Flood. Color photo taken on September 27, 2010 from the entrance to the Happy Chef Restaurant at 51646 US Highway 169, slightly north of the intersection with Highway 14. The 2010 flood was caused by heavy rainfall south of Mankato on September 23rd. Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in the Mapleton and Amboy areas, but less than four inches fell in Mankato and St. Peter. The river crested in St. Peter on September 28, 2010.
