2010 Flood. Color photo of a view to the southeast of a flooded cornfield along Highway 169. The view is from the Wayne Bieber homestead at 47,847 US Highway 169 (about half way between St. Peter and North Mankato) at the base of Timberlane Road on September 27, 2010. The 2010 flood was caused by heavy rainfall south of Mankato on September 23rd. Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in the Mapleton and Amboy areas, but less than four inches fell in Mankato and St. Peter. The river crested in St. Peter on September 28, 2010.
