Broadway Bridge. Color photo of the Broadway Bridge and the flooded Minnesota River in St. Peter on September 27, 2010. The photo was taken from the Cambria parking lot north of Broadway, on the west side of the river. The flooding caused the closure of Highway 99 for several days. The 2010 flood was caused by heavy rainfall south of Mankato on September 23rd. Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in the Mapleton and Amboy areas, but less than four inches fell in Mankato and St. Peter. The river crested in St. Peter on September 28, 2010.
