2010 Flood. Color photo taken at McDonalds along Highway 169 in St. Peter showing flood water in the area. This is a view to the NE that was taken on September 27, 2010. A Holiday gas station is across the street. The 2010 flood was caused by heavy rainfall south of Mankato on September 23rd. Nearly 12 inches of rain fell in the Mapleton and Amboy areas, but less than four inches fell in Mankato and St. Peter. The river crested in St. Peter on September 28, 2010.
