First Lieutenant Edward B. Cutter military garment bag. The bag is made of olive drab canvas, with a leather handle and a hollow wooden rod as a support at the top. The outside pocket has the words "1st LT. E.B. CUTTER 3d MINN. INF." stenciled on it in black letters. The inside has a space for garments and smaller pockets below for other personal items. No date, but ca. 1900s-1917, as the "Third Minnesota Infantry" designation ceased to be used either just before or shortly after the United States entered World War I.
