Description
This triangular shaped basket with the small base, open bottom, was used as a grist mill to pound nuts from their shells or to grind grain. It is made of cedar root, willow and grass, with a geometric and line design on the outside. It was made by the Mrs. Shoemaker, a Hoopa Indian, and used for many years by Amy Stone's daughter.
This basket has 10 rows and 8 stitches per inch.
