Description
Scoop, Scale: Fabric scale scoop used to weigh infants at St. John's Hospital in Red Wing.

The scale scoop is made out of off-white fabric. When flat, it is shaped like a trapezoid with a curved bottom. The scale scoop could presumably be held open by the embedded metal loops attached near the opening, thus forming a cup to hold infants. The scoop is stamped on both sides with "Nursery." On one side, the words "St. John's/Red Wing, MN" have been written in marker around the "nursery" stamp.
