Description
Scoop, Scale: Fabric scale scoop used to weigh infants at St. John's Hospital in Red Wing.

The scale scoop is made out of off-white fabric and the bottom seam is enforced with brown fabric. When flat, it is shaped like a trapezoid with a curved bottom. The scale scoop could presumably be held open by the metal loops attached at the opening, thus forming a cup to hold infants. The scoop is stamped on both sides with "St. John's Hospital/Red Wing, Minnesota." There are several brown stains on the outside and inside of the scoop.
