Description
Growler, Beer: Beer growler created to commemorate the Goodhue County Historical Society's 150th anniversary. It is the first of a 10 growler run created to test the design. Subsequent growlers were sold as a fundraiser.
The growler is constructed out of brown glass with a small glass handle. It has a white metal cap and features two designs on each side. One side features a white label with GCHS's 150th logo which includes the image of two hats and the words: HATS OFF TO HISTORY/1869-2019/CELEBRATING 150 YEARS/GOODHUE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY/Minn./ LIMITED 1/10 EDITION
The other side features a historic beer label used by the Jacob Christ brewery, provided by the current Red Wing Brewery. It is white, red, gold, and black and features the words: Goodhue County Historical Society/RED WING BREWERY/WARRANTED TO KEEP IN ANY CLIMATE/TRADEMARK/ JAC CHRIST/RED WING/MINN./1869-Celebrating 150 Years-2019. In the center of the label is featured the state seal of Minnesota.
On the side of the growler opposite the handle is a label identifying the growler with the Red Wing Brewing Company and featuring a government-mandated warning about the consumption of alcohol.
