This homemade scrapbook contains large copies of Danish newspaper front pages covering the years 1933-1948 including many from the WWII years. The pages are glued in place. Publications featured are Politiken (The Politics, ) Nationaltidende (National Newspaper,) Aftenblader (Evening Paper,) Kritisk Ugerevue (Critical Weekly Review.) Social Demokraten.
The sample page shown indicates that a military state of emergency has been declared throughout Denmark as of August 29 of 1943. Restrictions included staying off the streets from dusk to dawn, any use of post, telegraph and telephone was prohibited, no gatherings of more than 5 people allowed in public places. This was issued by the commander in chief of the German troops in Denmark at that time.
