Description
These two U. S. Army khaki uniform jackets are very similar. The jackets have long sleeves with two button cuffs. Both jackets have khaki cotton lining throughout. Both have inside lined pockets on both the left and right front sides. They each have 2 inch wide waistbands with metal buckles on each side of the back for adjusting. Each jacket has two breast pockets with flaps. Each jacket has shoulder epaulets with one button. Each jacket has the blue and khaki “arrow” patch on both sleeves. Each jacket has the red, white, and blue circle patch with the blue star at the center on the left upper sleeve. Jacket a has a 1 inch copper button on each collar point. The button on the right reads, “US”. The button on the left has an emblem that looks like a hexagon and two crossed golf clubs. Jacket a has a white 1 ⅓ x ½ inch label reading, “Goserke C4437”. It is attached with a staple. The collar has a short hanging strip and a white size label reading 38R. There is a stamp in the jacket lining reading G3797. The inside right pocket has a paper label reading 424 stapled to the pocket. Jacket a has four ¾ inch brown buttons and an extra snap for the waistband enclosure. Jacket b has four brown buttons and a buttonhole at the waist. There is a button for the buttonhole on the reverse side of the opposing waistband. It also has a snap closure. Jacket b has a cloth strip for hanging. Behind that is the size label reading 36S. The inside lining has a stamp reading G3797.
