Title
Two Virgins
Creation Date
June 9 1939

Dimensions

23" H x 17.8" W

Description
Scene of two female figures, facing opposite directions, standing on opposing sides of a facade brick wall with an empty doorway. This all takes place in a broader scene of a barren wasteland, typical of surrealist scenes, and includes in the forefront a second, smaller facade with a round arch doorway, and at its base some trash and rubble. A rectangular block, flag pole with pennant are further up the scene. The long shadows and sky coloration indicate it is sunset.
