11in W x 3in L
Oval-shaped fruit tray with a braided rim and sides made from dark brown colored round reeds tightly woven in a plain weave. At either end, the weave has been interrupted by five wooden ribs bearing wooden beads. The two outermost ribs each have one bead, followed by two ribs with two beads, and the centermost rib has three beads. The bottom consists of a wooden base layer upon which a cloth printed with the image of two flowers has been placed and then topped by a pane of glass.
This fruit tray was made by the donor's grandfather around 1870.
