Description

Rectangular basket woven from light-colored flat and half-round reeds; the weavers themselves have been plaited. Roughly halfway up is an open area with no weaving. The rim features the same plaited weavers, but formed into a zig-zag pattern that then morphs into a handle at one side. The interior of the basket is comprised of white silk with a ruffle along the top edge. Sewn onto opposite sides are two blue silk bands resembling pockets decorated with white silk ribbon bows. A blue silk pillow tied with white silk ribbons has been sewn along one of the long edges.
