1950's Classic Pay phone.. This pay phone is like one that hung in the Lake Ave Hotel. It was located at the bottom of the staircase. It was used by the residents of the Lake Ave. Hotel. Purchased at a craft sale by Currie and donated by Mary Mattson. It had definitely come from al location in SW Minnesota. It is a tall rectangle shape with coin slots on the top to insert the money on the top. The routinary dial allowed one to make your call. On the lower ⅓ of the phone is an opening for the return of money that the caller was to receive back. To the right is a black metal plate that can be taken off with a key where the telephone company was able to retrieve the money. The front cent contained information on available phone #'s and information.
