Description

These 14 men who assisted in the fall plowing of the Francis Pawlitschek farm in Glenwood township plowed 125 acres as work progressed on the new 22 by 64 hog house. The farm was virtually destroyed by an early morning fire Sept. 26. The fire destroyed the barn, two hog houses and a large machine shed in addition to numerous pigs and thousands of bushels of grain and several thousand bales of straw and hay.
Donating their time and tractors for plowing were Orine Rust, Nick Roush, Leonard Rost, Allan Hanson, Bill Anderson, Chauncey Foner, Gary Fiala, Leo Elvehjem, Henry Fiala Howard Nelson, Clinton Danielson, Stanley Swenson and Tim Rosten.
