Dimensions

3.5" H x 6" L

Description
Ink blotter with advertising from Armstrong Lumber and Coal Yard, 78th and Pleasant S. Minneapolis, Minn. 6"x3.25".   Front side features illustrations a dollar sign with wings flying over a farm.  Black text on white:  "No more songs of sixpence For a pocket full of rye.  Prices for farm products Have gone up pretty high. (and so have other prices, as the reader has observed.)  Money, money, everywhere, But nothing much to buy.  “What's a man supposed to do?” We hear the farmer sigh. (and so do outer people, as the reader has observed.)  This is the best possible time to invest in needed farm improvements that will add to your production, your working ability, and your property value.  Certain materials are available without restriction.  Cement for concrete, for example.  Send a postcard for information, or pay us a visit.  No obligation."   Below is hand typed the name and address of the Armstrong Lumber and Coal Yard. The back side is an absorbent paper for blotting ink pens.  With the reference to materials restrictions, this is likely from the WW2 era.
