Description
Violin, bow and case.  The Violin was made in Markeneukirchen, Germany by Carl August Schuster.  On the back of the violin scroll and behind the pegs the maker has carved his initials  in a traditional way with the larger surname initial in the center (cSa), and an anchor.  Circa 1830-1850.  Leather violin case is deteriorating with ‘red rot’.  It has a green lining.
