Description
Pictured: Jerry Leedahl, of Glenwood, was the main speaker and gave the Memorial Day address. He cited nine American traditions that must be kept.
The Glenwood community paid solemn tribute to its war dead during the traditional Memorial Day services at the city park and French cemetery. The solemness of the occasion was borne out by the occasional muffled beat of the drums, the firing squad salute to the dead, and the playing of “Taps.”
