Description

Organza half apron with a double layer at center front and lace detail across the middle of the apron and down the sides of the center panel. This apron was donated by Dorothy Sauber in 2008. Dorothy Sauber collected over 600 aprons during her lifetime and wrote articles for many magazines, including Hennepin History Magazine, about the importance of aprons in American culture. Aprons like this one offer a unique glimpse into, as Dorothy wrote, "how the past viewed women and how past women may have viewed themselves."
