The new Edgewater Motel at Tofte plans to open two of its five units on Friday, and according to Tom Hansen, the owner, it will be one of the finest and most modern tourist accommodations in the Northwest. This, he says, is substantiated by the many visiting summer guests who have been watching the progress of the building this summer. Should there be a continuous demand for this type of accommodation, he said, he would have to continue expanding his business as he has been doing the last few years.

For the past six weeks the Edgewater Inn has been sponsoring a special radio advertising program with a potato chips company and the Hoedowners, every Saturday from 12 to 1 p.m. over a Duluth station. The Edgewater has been giving away four dinners to the first ones to call the station and name the mystery tune played by the Hoedowners.
