This collection of drawings and paintings by Mary Gale Hobbs depict her husband, Arnold, in an expressionist style. In each, the figure wears glasses with rounded lenses and a suit or button-up shirt. Stylistically, Hobbs utilized simplistic lines and quick brushwork to complete the figures. Arnold is most often positioned in half profile with shadows done in watercolor to create dimension and depth. A pensive, but relaxed expression falls across Arnold's face in each depiction.
