Description
Infant moccasins with long tongues. Decorated with fringe at back and center. Beadwork in white, green, red and yellow. These were donated in 1978 by Carol Palmer Ostrow. Carol was born in St. Paul in 1919 to Leroy T. Palmer and Marguerite Steele. She was married to James D. Ostrow and worked as a nurse. The year after her 1978 donation, she was living at 9600 Portland Ave S. in Bloomington, where she died in April of 1987. James died in 1997, and the pair is buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
