The document reads:

"Land Tax Road Warrant.

Road District No. 2 Town of New Market

Jos. Frederickson Road Overseer.

The Town Clerk will make a copy of the within list and deliver it to the Overseer of Highways, who will collect the same and make due return to the Town Clerk on or before the first day of October next.
