Description

This document is a contract between John Herber and W.W. Kimball Co. Herber bought a machine from the company. 

The document reads:

"STATE OF MINNESOTA

County of [Scott]

ss.

Be it Remembered that on this 8 day of July A.D. 1903, before me, the undersigned John Herber in and for said County, personally appeared the within named_ personally known to me to be the identical person whose name affixed to the foregoing instrument as a grantor, and acknowledged the same to be his voluntary act and deed, for the purpose therein expressed.

"W.W. Kimball Co. is not responsible for any agreement or promise other than written or printed on the face of this agreement. This Contract is an original undertaking, no notes having been signed therewith.

$200. New Market Minn., P.O., July 8, 1903

For Value Recieved, I the subscriber of No._ Street, town of New Market County of Scott and State of Minnesota, promise to pay to the order of W.W. KIMBALL Co. (a corporation), of Chicago, Illinois, Two Hundred Dollars,at its office in Chicago, Illinois, as follows: Twenty five Dollars Cash and Seven Dollars Aug 8th seven/ September 8th + Seven Dollars Each Succeeding Month.

With interest of said sums at the rate of seven six percent per annum from date hereof until paid, with exchange. 

The consdieration of the above and foregoing contract is the agreement by said W.W. Kimball Co. to sell and deliver to the subscriber one Wright Oat Picker [machine name isn't clear] made by W.W. Kimball No 106730 Style 12 the delivery and receipt of which is hereby acknowledged upon the conditions hereinbefore and herein after ser force, to-wit: … [Continues with a printed legal disclaimer from W.W. This agreement shall not be binding on W.W. Kimball Co. until accepted and approved by the said company.
